Thushantha Karunanayake, who leads PCL Solutions under the MJF Group, has been named Chief Country Representative for Sri Lanka by the Indian Chamber of Commerce, a move intended to strengthen bilateral trade and investment ties.

The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has appointed Thushantha Karunanayake as its Chief Country Representative for Sri Lanka, according to an announcement made during a recent India-Sri Lanka bilateral delegation visit. The appointment aims to deepen economic cooperation and commercial engagement between the two neighboring nations.

Karunanayake currently heads PCL Solutions (Pvt) Ltd, which operates as part of the MJF Group, the parent organization of the internationally recognized Dilmah Tea brand. The executive brings extensive experience across multiple industrial sectors, with a background in business development, strategic planning, and international partnerships.

In his new role, Karunanayake will represent the ICC within Sri Lanka and facilitate business relationships between Indian and Sri Lankan enterprises. His responsibilities will encompass promoting bilateral trade and investment, coordinating business delegations, fostering strategic partnerships, engaging with policymakers, and creating collaboration platforms across various industries.
