Educational authorities have mandated that all tuition classes and related instructional activities for the 2026 Advanced Level and Grade 5 Scholarship examinations must cease by specific dates this week.
The Department of Examinations has issued directives requiring the cessation of all tuition-related educational activities ahead of two major national examinations scheduled for 2026.
According to the regulations, institutions and tutors conducting classes, lectures, seminars and workshops in preparation for the 2026 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination must end all such activities by midnight on August 4. The deadline for similar activities related to the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination is set one day later, at midnight on August 5.
The restrictions encompass a broad range of instructional formats, including formal tuition classes, subject-specific lectures, seminars and workshops. The Department of Examinations stated that these guidelines apply uniformly to all educational providers offering examination preparation services. The timing of these directives suggests authorities aim to create a uniform preparation period for all students before the examinations commence.
