Vogue Jewellers, one of Sri Lanka's leading jewellery companies, has appointed former cricketer Kumar Sangakkara as its brand ambassador, citing shared values of excellence and integrity between the two entities.
Vogue Jewellers has announced a partnership with Kumar Sangakkara, positioning the internationally recognised cricketer as the face of the Sri Lankan jewellery brand. According to the company, the collaboration represents an alignment between two entities whose reputations have been built on excellence, craftsmanship and unwavering standards.
The jeweller, which has operated for over six decades, emphasises that Sangakkara's career trajectory mirrors the brand's own journey of earning international recognition while maintaining Sri Lankan heritage. Vogue Jewellers notes that it has won more international jewellery design awards than any other Sri Lankan jeweller and has established itself through pioneering quality standards. Sangakkara, meanwhile, is credited with building a reputation characterised by discipline, consistency and leadership both within and beyond cricket.
Managing Director Anura Hemachandra described the partnership as more than a conventional brand endorsement, emphasising that both Sangakkara and Vogue share a philosophy that lasting reputation is developed over time rather than through single achievements. He highlighted that the cricketer's selective approach to associations aligned with the brand's values.
The timing of the announcement coincides with Vogue Jewellers' expansion efforts, including the establishment of a showroom in Melbourne. The company views Sangakkara's involvement as instrumental in strengthening its international presence. At the official signing, Hemachandra presented Sangakkara with a specially crafted golden cricket bat as recognition of his contributions to Sri Lankan cricket.
