Saranga Pradeep, known as 'Welle Saranga', has been apprehended by Dubai Police based on information from Sri Lanka's Central Crime Investigation Bureau and State Intelligence Service.

Underworld figure Saranga Pradeep, commonly referred to as 'Welle Saranga', has been arrested in Dubai following a coordinated effort between Sri Lankan law enforcement agencies. The Central Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) and State Intelligence Service (SIS) provided the information that led to his apprehension by Dubai Police.

According to reports, officers from both Sri Lankan agencies had travelled to Dubai in connection with an earlier arrest related to another suspect known as 'Bus Lalith' (Lalith Kannangara). The operation appears to have expanded beyond the initial investigation, resulting in Saranga Pradeep's detention.

At the time of his arrest, cocaine and crystal methamphetamine were reportedly found in his possession. However, according to local authorities cited in reports, Sri Lankan officials have not yet received formal notification of the arrest through official channels, despite the involvement of Sri Lankan intelligence in the operation that led to his capture.
