As soon as the student was arrested, her friend, another student, asked her to bring a bottle of pickle from a nearby table. However, the student allegedly refused to give her the pickle. Enraged by this, the student hid the knife from the dining table and followed the student, who had finished eating and gone to wash her hands, to the bathroom. There, he tried to strangle the student and brutally stabbed her on her hands and body with the knife. Hearing the screams of the victim, the hostel guard and school staff who ran to rescue the bleeding student and immediately admitted her to a private hospital in Surat. Doctors have said that the girl is currently in stable condition. The police arrested the 15-year-old student who committed the attack and sent her to a juvenile reform school in Vadodara.
