The drug stockpile seized during the raids carried out by the Police Narcotics Control Unit and the drug stockpile under the custody of the Government Chemical Analyst's Department for which the case proceedings were completed were destroyed today, Saturday.
They were destroyed in a crematorium set up in the Lektowatta area, Wanathavillu, Puttalam, in the presence of Negombo Chief Magistrate Thilini Perera.
The drug stockpile was transported to the crematorium from the Negombo court premises and the items were brought under heavy police security.
The destroyed drug stockpile includes the following: Ice: 13 kg 22 grams Cocaine: 2 kg 30 grams Kush: 39 kg 710 grams Heroin: 156 grams Ganja and Hashish: 04 kg 136 grams Mandi: 1 kg 200 grams Narcotic pills: 26,262 pills
