COLOMBO (News 1st): The National Council for Road Safety says legal action will be taken from the end of September against those who fail to carry out condition inspections on public transport buses.Chairman of the National Council for Road Safety, Manjula Kularatne stated that the registration of vehicle inspectors and vehicle repair centres is currently underway.Accordingly, these condition checks must be conducted once every 5,000 kilometres or every three months.He added that plans are also underway to make such inspections mandatory for all vehicles in the future.
