Avishka Madhushan Abeygunawardena, who operates under the alias 'Wanathe Chathu,' has been arrested in Ras Al-Khaimah, Dubai, according to reports from local security authorities. The individual is believed to maintain close associations with Kanjipani Imran, a known organised crime figure and drug trafficker.

The arrest came as a result of information provided by organised crime suspects identified as 'Panadura Salindu' and 'Darun,' which led Dubai security authorities to apprehend Abeygunawardena. The details regarding how these individuals came to provide information to authorities remain unclear.
