A woman allegedly involved in the long-running distribution of illegal liquor and narcotics in Eppawala and several surrounding areas has been arrested with heroin, police said.The suspect, identified as a mother of two from Pathkolawetiya, Eppawala, is popularly known by the alias “Doni.”She was arrested after officers attached to the Eppawala Police carried out a sudden raid on her residence, during which they recovered 2.450 grams of heroin allegedly in her possession.Police said the suspect has more than 10 previous offences related to the illegal liquor trade.The suspect was produced before the Thambuttegama Magistrate's Court and was remanded until July 15, police noted.
