After the victim informed the Jaffna police about the incident, the police quickly stopped the bus in the Ariyakulam area and arrested the man.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the man was a Captain-rank officer from the 9th Infantry Division, serving at the Palali Army Camp.
The suspect has been detained at the Jaffna Police Station and investigations are underway.
