A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a viral social media video showing the inhumane assault of a dog, police said.The video, which was circulated widely on social media in recent days, allegedly showed the suspect mercilessly attacking the animal near the Ashraff Memorial Hospital in the Kalmunai Police Division. Following the circulation of the footage, the Kalmunai Police launched an investigation and arrested the suspect yesterday (27).The arrested suspect has been identified as a 21-year-old resident of Kalmunai Kudy, said police.Further investigations are underway into the incident.
