Jaffna Kings consolidated their position near the top of the Lanka Premier League standings with a convincing 19-run victory over Colombo Kaps in a match contested at Pallekelle on Tuesday. The Kings posted 202 runs across their 20 overs, setting a challenging target for their opponents to chase.
The decisive factor in Jaffna's strong batting performance came from Ibrahim Zadran, who struck an aggressive 95 runs from just 65 deliveries. His innings was complemented by useful contributions from other team members, including Kamil Mishara's 44 runs and an unbeaten 31 from Towhid Hridoy. Despite these efforts, Colombo's bowlers managed to claim five wickets, with James Neesham taking two wickets for 30 runs.
In their chase, Colombo Kaps fell short by 19 runs, managing 183 runs for the loss of nine wickets.
