Sri Lanka Cricket has named a 15-member squad for a three-day preparatory match against India, beginning Thursday at the NCC Grounds in Colombo.
Sri Lanka Cricket has announced the squad for an upcoming three-day warm-up fixture against India, scheduled to begin on August 7 at the NCC Grounds in Colombo. The match will start at 10:00 am and serves as preparation for both teams ahead of their competitive engagements.
Sonal Dinusha has been appointed as captain of the SLC XI squad. The squad comprises a mix of players including Nishan Madushka, Ravindu Rashantha, Pasindu Sooriyabandara, and Pavan Rathnayake among the batting contingent. Anjala Bandara takes on wicketkeeping duties, while the bowling attack includes pace bowlers Lahiru Kumara and Vishwa Fernando, along with spinner Ramesh Mendis.
The 15-member group also includes Ahan Wickramasinghe, Nipun Dananjaya, Asanka Manoj, Isitha Wijesundara, Kesara Nuwantha, and Dilum Sudeera. The squad selection reflects Sri Lanka Cricket's effort to provide match practice opportunities to a diverse group of players before the upcoming bilateral series with India.
