Three individuals suspected of links to organized criminal networks have been returned to Sri Lanka following their arrest in Malaysia, with authorities alleging connections to multiple murder cases.

Three suspects believed to be associated with organized criminal groups were extradited to Sri Lanka on 10 January following their recent apprehension in Malaysia. The individuals arrived on flight UL 317 at 4:00 p.m., accompanied by a special police team headed by Assistant Superintendent of Police Rohan Olugala.

According to law enforcement authorities, one of the suspects maintains close ties with prominent criminal figure "Kanjipani Imran." An Interpol Red Notice has reportedly been issued against this individual, indicating international law enforcement coordination in the case.

The three are allegedly connected to several homicide investigations and other organized crime operations. Police have indicated that comprehensive investigations and legal proceedings will commence following their arrival in the country. The extradition marks a significant development in Sri Lanka's ongoing efforts to address organized criminal networks operating across borders.
