Inland areas including the Northern, North-Central, North-Western and Central provinces, along with Hambantota and Trincomalee districts, are expected to experience winds of approximately 40-50 kmph at times. Coastal regions are facing more severe conditions, with wind speeds anticipated to reach 50-60 kmph across sea areas stretching from Hambantota to Pottuvil and from Kalpitiya to Mullaitivu via Mannar and Kankesanthurai.

The timing of these advisories differs slightly, with one issued on the 28th effective through the 29th, while another was issued on the 29th remaining in effect until the 30th. The Department of Meteorology has urged residents and the maritime community to remain alert for any updated information and to take necessary precautions during the advisory periods. The public has been advised to monitor official weather updates as conditions develop.
