Google introduced its newest Pixel phone range on Wednesday, marking another step in the technology company's strategy to integrate advanced artificial intelligence features into consumer devices. The lineup includes four models—the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold—with preorders beginning in Singapore at prices ranging from S$1,299 to S$2,499.
The updated phones feature redesigned cameras that maintain slimmer profiles while delivering enhanced zoom capabilities and improved performance in low-light conditions. A new function called Magic Capture enables users to record multiple photos and video clips simultaneously with a single button press. Pro versions include an upgraded Instant Night Sight tool that accelerates photography in dark environments, reducing the need to hold the device steady during exposure.
Software enhancements center on AI-driven functionality, including real-time translation for videos, podcasts, and voice messages. The Pro models introduce HiLight, which allows users to assign specific colors to important contacts that display when those individuals call. The phones also feature doubled base storage capacity at 256 gigabytes, battery life extending to 30 hours, and faster wireless charging capabilities.
Analysts view the announcement as part of Google's broader effort to incentivize upgrades through software innovation. As noted by Forrester senior analyst Andrew Cornwall, the company continues emphasizing artificial intelligence as the primary motivation for consumers to purchase new models. While Pixel phones maintain a smaller market share compared to Apple's iPhone, Google has progressively expanded AI integration since 2023.
