The arrests were made on August 13 and included the driver of the vehicle allegedly involved in the incident, a passenger traveling in the same vehicle, and a woman. All three were brought before the Minuwangoda Magistrate's Court on August 14 for initial proceedings.
Police have initiated legal action against the suspects under multiple provisions of the Penal Code. The driver faces additional charges under the Motor Traffic Act in connection with their involvement in the incident. Investigations into the matter remain ongoing.
