Sanath Jayasuriya, the former Sri Lankan cricket captain, officially unveiled Dongcheng's new hand tools collection in Colombo on Friday, marking an expansion of the Asian power tools brand's presence in the local market through distributor Deen Brothers.

Former Sri Lanka cricket captain Sanath Jayasuriya presided over the official launch of Dongcheng Hand Tools in Sri Lanka on Friday at the BMICH in Colombo. The event took place during the Construct Exhibition 2026, where Jayasuriya unveiled the new hand tools range alongside representatives from Dongcheng and Deen Brothers (DBL), along with industry stakeholders and exhibition visitors.

Dongcheng, described as Asia's leading power tools brand, has expanded its product offerings in Sri Lanka through its partnership with Deen Brothers, a long-established local distributor. The collaboration represents a continued effort by both companies to broaden their professional tools portfolio in the domestic market.

Deen Brothers, founded in 1940, has operated as a major supplier of industrial tools and equipment across Sri Lanka for over eight decades. The company, formally registered as a limited liability entity in 1982, currently distributes a diverse range of products including power tools, woodworking equipment, water pumps, concrete cutting machinery, generators, agricultural tools, gardening products, construction materials, general hand tools, and related spare parts and accessories.
