A collision between a state-operated and private bus at Karandupana Junction in Kegalle has left approximately 20 people injured, with police investigating the incident.
A traffic accident at Karandupana Junction in Kegalle early this morning resulted in injuries to around 20 individuals when two buses collided. The incident occurred at approximately 6:15 a.m. on March 3rd, involving a Sri Lanka Transport Board bus and a privately-operated vehicle.
According to initial reports, the SLTB bus was en route from Rambukkana to Kandy when it struck the private bus, which was traveling from Digana toward Colombo. The exact circumstances that led to the collision remain unclear at this stage.
All injured passengers were transported to Kegalle Teaching Hospital for medical treatment. Kegalle Police have taken charge of the investigation to determine the cause of the accident and establish responsibility for the incident.
