Hilton Yala's wildlife ranger team has demonstrated exceptional performance in the globally recognised CyberTracker Level 3 qualification, with Senior Ranger Sanka Abeysinghe scoring 96% in the evaluation.

Hilton Yala has announced a significant achievement for its ranger team, with multiple staff members successfully completing the CyberTracker Level 3 qualification in South Africa. The programme, considered an international standard in wildlife tracking certification, assesses rangers' capabilities in identifying animal tracks and signs, interpreting animal behaviour, and understanding ecological relationships within natural environments.

Senior Ranger Sanka Abeysinghe emerged as the standout performer, achieving a score of 96% in the evaluation—described as among the highest scores recorded at this certification level. According to Hilton Yala, this result reflects the resort's commitment to maintaining rigorous professional standards within its wildlife guiding operations. The resort's ranger team members hold various internationally recognised qualifications, including certifications from the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA).

The CyberTracker certification, originally developed in Southern Africa, is recognised by conservationists, researchers, and wildlife professionals globally. Hilton Yala states that its safari experiences are built around highly trained rangers who combine scientific knowledge with conservation awareness and tracking expertise to deliver educational wildlife encounters for guests.

According to Sanoj Perera, Director of Marketing & Communication at Hilton Yala, the achievement demonstrates the expertise available within the ranger team. The resort has indicated its continued focus on investing in ranger development and conservation education while maintaining its commitment to responsible wildlife tourism practices in one of the world's biodiverse ecosystems.
