A van collided with a high-voltage power line on the Piliyandala–Kottawa road in Kesbewa, leaving six people injured. Seven occupants were in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
A road accident in the Kesbewa area has resulted in six people being hospitalized following a collision between a van and a high-voltage power line. The incident took place along the Piliyandala–Kottawa road on Saturday morning.
According to police, seven individuals were travelling in the van when the accident occurred. Six of these occupants sustained injuries from the impact. The injured have been transferred to Homagama Hospital for medical treatment.
All victims of the accident are residents of the Piliyandala area. Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the van striking the power line infrastructure.
