Two buses operating on the Kandy-Hatton route were involved in a collision in the Peragolla area of Ginigathhena, according to police reports. The incident occurred when the drivers of the two private buses allegedly attempted to overtake each other in a reckless manner. While the crash resulted in damage to both vehicles, all passengers aboard escaped injury.
Police have taken both buses into custody and initiated legal proceedings against the drivers.
