South Asia's first fully integrated resort, City of Dreams Sri Lanka, marks its one-year milestone with month-long celebrations featuring special dining experiences, international chef collaborations, and discounted food and beverage offerings throughout August.

City of Dreams Sri Lanka commemorated its first anniversary on August 2nd, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the country's tourism development. The integrated resort, described as South Asia's first of its kind, combines luxury accommodation, fine dining, entertainment, retail and lifestyle amenities within a single destination in Colombo. During its inaugural year, City of Dreams Sri Lanka has expanded Colombo's appeal as a tourism hub, attracting both local and international visitors alongside substantial interest from regional travellers, particularly from India. The resort has hosted large-scale meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE), alongside culinary collaborations featuring international chefs and signature dining concepts. Kamal Munasinghe, Senior Vice President of Colombo Hotels and General Manager of Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams Sri Lanka, highlighted the resort's role in introducing "an entirely new lifestyle experience" to the country while fostering international partnerships and world-class offerings.

The anniversary celebrations extend throughout August with various promotional offerings and curated experiences. From August 1st to 9th, participating specialty restaurants are offering 30 percent discounts on food and beverages. Between August 10th and 16th, restaurants including Staten Bar & Grill, Bistro des Marées, Yoroko and Sapphire Dragon will feature anniversary-inspired tasting menus curated by their culinary teams. A highlight includes an exclusive two-day dining experience on August 7th and 8th, featuring guest chefs from India's renowned restaurants Indian Accent Mumbai and Ekaa, who will present specially curated vegetarian and non-vegetarian tasting menus celebrating Indian culinary heritage.
