Menswear brand Hameedia has signed an agreement with Sri Lanka's National Olympic Committee and Commonwealth Games Association to become the official apparel provider for Sri Lankan athletes at upcoming international sporting events.
Hameedia, a prominent Sri Lankan menswear and lifestyle brand, has been appointed as the Official Clothing Partner for Team Sri Lanka through a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the National Olympic Committee (NOC) and Commonwealth Games Association (CGA) of Sri Lanka. The agreement was formalised during a ceremony held on 11 August 2026 at Olympic House.
Under the partnership, Hameedia will design and manufacture official team uniforms and apparel for Sri Lankan athletes and officials competing at international events. The collaboration will begin with the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games scheduled for Riyadh in 2026, and will continue through the Commonwealth Youth Games in 2027.
The signing was witnessed by key officials including Asanga Seneviratne, President of NOC/CGA Sri Lanka, and Rifdy Fahmy, Secretary General. Mikail Hameed, Head of Design and Business Development at Hameedia, described the appointment as a proud moment for the brand, emphasising its commitment to delivering quality craftsmanship that reflects national pride.
The partnership represents a significant expansion for Hameedia, which is known for its menswear retail and tailoring operations. The company stated that it will maintain close collaboration with the National Olympic Committee in preparing team apparel for each scheduled event, positioning the brand as a supporter of Sri Lankan athletic talent on the global stage.
