Beyond the rally programme, the NPP is simultaneously undertaking a reorganisation effort focused on its divisional council structure at the Grama Niladhari division level, Jayatissa indicated during comments to journalists in Kalutara.

The minister used the occasion to respond to opposition criticism, challenging rival parties to substantiate claims of declining public support through direct action rather than rhetoric. Jayatissa suggested that if opposition groups genuinely believed public sentiment had shifted against the government, they should organise public gatherings and mobilisation efforts to demonstrate this support. He specifically referenced opposition figures allegedly meeting privately rather than engaging in public political activity.
