Sri Lankan police have brought back three suspects arrested in Malaysia, including alleged organized crime figure Dhanushka Kaushalya alias 'Ratmalana Saima,' following a joint law enforcement operation between the two countries.

Three suspects arrested in Malaysia arrived in Sri Lanka on August 10 following a coordinated operation between Sri Lankan and Malaysian police authorities. The group included Dhanushka Kaushalya, known by the alias 'Ratmalana Saima,' who police identified as a key associate of organized crime figure Kanjipani Imran. A special police team led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Rohan Olugala travelled to Malaysia to escort the suspects back to the country, with the group arriving on SriLankan Airlines flight UL315 at approximately 4:28 p.m.

According to police investigations, Ratmalana Saima allegedly managed various aspects of Kanjipani Imran's criminal operations, including handling his financial affairs and administering his social media accounts to distribute recorded messages. Investigators also allege that Saima provided assistance to another organized crime suspect, Kehelbaddara Padme, while he was evading authorities in Malaysia. An Interpol Red Notice has been issued against Saima, and police indicated the three suspects are connected to multiple alleged murders and organized criminal activities.

Police records indicate that Ratmalana Saima had been residing in Malaysia for approximately ten years. Prior to his association with Kanjipani Imran, Saima was reportedly connected to another underworld figure known as 'Kudu Anju,' who is believed to be currently hiding in France. The three suspects have been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and legal proceedings.
