The highly anticipated period drama featuring Telugu actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna will hit theatres worldwide on October 16, coinciding with the Dussehra festival.

The makers of the epic historical drama 'Ranabaali' have announced an October 16 worldwide theatrical release for the film, according to Ada Derana. The announcement was made through social media alongside a poster depicting lead actor Vijay Deverakonda in period costume. The film, helmed by director Rahul Sankrityan, reunites the on-screen pair of Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna, who have previously collaborated on projects such as 'Geetha Govindam' and 'Dear Comrade'.

The movie is positioned as a historical epic exploring themes of conflict between good and evil, with promotional materials describing it as opening "the darkest chapter of our history." The production has been timed to release during the festive Dussehra period, typically a significant window for major film releases. The project is backed by Mythri Movie Makers, with music composition handled by the duo Ajay-Atul.

The pairing has generated considerable anticipation among audiences, particularly following the actors' real-life wedding in February of this year. The intimate yet elaborate ceremony took place in Udaipur and was attended by close associates and family members. Rashmika was recently seen in the Hindi film 'Cocktail 2' alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, while Vijay's most recent release was the 2025 Telugu action-drama 'Kingdom', directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri.
