Sri Lanka's Mahapola Higher Education Scholarship Trust Fund has introduced a new online system enabling university students to access information about their scholarship disbursements through a dedicated digital portal.
The Mahapola Higher Education Scholarship Trust Fund has rolled out a digital information system designed to streamline access to scholarship-related data for university students across the country. According to Vijith Malalgoda, the retired Supreme Court Justice who chairs the trust fund, the platform will serve as a centralized resource for information pertaining to the disbursement of Mahapola scholarship funds.
The new system became available to students beginning this month through the official Mahapola website at www.mahapola.lk. The initiative aims to enhance transparency and convenience for scholarship recipients by providing them with direct access to payment schedules, disbursement status, and other pertinent details related to their financial assistance.
The digital platform represents an effort to modernize the administration of Sri Lanka's higher education scholarship program and reduce bureaucratic friction in managing student financial aid. By placing information directly in the hands of students through an online interface, the system is expected to reduce inquiries and administrative workload while improving communication between the trust fund and its beneficiaries.
