MAS Intimates secured a four-wicket victory over Commercial Bank in Saturday's MCA Honour Champions League fixture at Thurstan ground, overcoming multiple rain interruptions that shaped the contest's outcome.
Commercial Bank batted first and was dismissed for 125 runs from 31.1 overs. The innings was disrupted by intermittent rainfall on three separate occasions, eventually leading to the match being reduced to 45 overs per side after the third interruption. At that point, Commercial Bank had reached 91 for seven wickets in the 25th over. Chathura Wanniarachchi led their scoring with 33 runs from 51 deliveries, while Ruvin Senevirathne took three wickets for the opposition.
In response, MAS Intimates faced an adjusted target of 121 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method.
