Former Pakistan cricketers Moin Khan and Javed Miandad have joined international cricket legends in publicly appealing for proper medical treatment of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has been imprisoned since 2023.

Growing concern over the health and treatment of Imran Khan has prompted several prominent figures from Pakistan's cricket community to speak out publicly. Former Pakistan captain Moin Khan, who played alongside Khan during the nation's 1992 World Cup victory, has now called for the incarcerated former leader to receive appropriate medical care. This intervention follows similar public statements by Javed Miandad, Khan's former teammate, who recently made an emotional appeal questioning the treatment afforded to the World Cup-winning captain.

The chorus of voices demanding Khan's proper medical treatment has extended well beyond Pakistan's borders. A group of legendary international cricket captains—including India's Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev, Australia's Allan Border and Greg Chappell, West Indies' Clive Lloyd, and Sri Lanka's Arjuna Ranatunga—have collectively appealed to Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to ensure Khan receives adequate healthcare. Australian captain Pat Cummins has also publicly expressed hope that Khan would be treated with dignity.
