Adora Cosmetic Centre in Thalawathugoda has won three prestigious accolades at the Global Health Awards Sri Lanka 2026, marking the first time a hospital-based cosmetic centre in Sri Lanka has achieved such international recognition.

Adora Cosmetic Centre, operating under Hemas Capital Hospitals in Thalawathugoda, has secured three awards at the Global Health Awards Sri Lanka 2026: Best Consultant-Led Derma Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Centre of the Year, Laser Clinic of the Year, and Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Centre of the Year. The facility marks the first hospital-based cosmetic centre in Sri Lanka to receive such international recognition through this awards programme.

Established in 2020, the centre has expanded significantly over six years of operation. According to the facility, it has completed over 70,000 consultations, 12,000 aesthetic procedures, and 1,500 cosmetic surgeries. The centre operates with support from more than 27 Board-Certified Consultants and functions within the clinical framework of Hemas Capital Hospitals.

Dr. Pradeep Edward, Director General Manager of Hemas Capital Hospitals, characterised the awards as recognition of the organisation's commitment to internationally benchmarked, consultant-led care delivered within a hospital environment. He attributed the achievement to the dedication of consultants, nursing staff, and support teams. Ms. Nipuni Fernando, Manager of Adora Cosmetic Centre, described the awards as validation of six years of work focused on delivering client and patient experiences.

The centre positions itself as Sri Lanka's leading hospital-based cosmetic facility, emphasising the integration of advanced medical technology, internationally accepted clinical protocols, and consultant-led expertise within a fully equipped hospital setting. The awards are presented as reinforcement of the centre's commitment to maintaining safety and ethical standards in aesthetic healthcare delivery.
