Lanka Hospitals has strengthened its standing as a major surgical facility in Sri Lanka, performing over 1,000 major procedures monthly across multiple specialties. The private hospital attributes its position to internationally recognised standards, advanced infrastructure and specialised clinical teams.

Lanka Hospitals has established itself as a significant player in Sri Lanka's surgical landscape, conducting more than 1,000 major operations each month according to the hospital's own reporting. The facility operates 12 operating theatres dedicated to various specialties, supported by a 50-bed intensive care network and an in-house blood bank to manage both routine and complex procedures. These infrastructure investments, the hospital states, enable comprehensive surgical programmes across cardiac, orthopaedic, neurological, oncological, transplant and metabolic specialties.

The hospital's cardiac surgery division claims particular scale, having completed over 10,000 cardiac surgeries and 800 interventions, with around 70 procedures performed monthly. In orthopaedic surgery, a team of more than 35 specialists has conducted over 3,000 knee replacements. The kidney transplant programme reports 1,250 successful procedures, while bariatric surgery figures at over 450 cases—numbers the hospital describes as the highest volume among private institutions in Sri Lanka.

Lanka Hospitals emphasises a holistic approach to patient care, beginning with pre-operative assessment and coordinated clinical planning. The hospital incorporates minimally invasive techniques where clinically suitable to reduce tissue damage and hospitalisation duration. Post-operative care is individualised, with clinical teams monitoring pain management, mobility and nutrition before discharge.

The hospital has also begun attracting international patients, reportedly serving over 50 overseas patients monthly seeking specialised treatment. The institution provides financial counselling services and operates a 24-hour helpline to support patient decision-making and medical guidance.
